Mark Eklund
Mark Eklund was born in Flushing Queens, New York, and raised in Smithtown, Long Island. He attended Smithtown High School East and went on to earn a Technical Certificate in Electronics from New York State after two years of college at Suffolk County Community.
After completing his education, Mark began his career in several sensor and optical sensor companies as a Technician, which eventually led him to Sales Engineering. Currently, he is the CEO and a founding partner of 24ARIES, llc. Previously, he was a founder of OffSite Vision Holdings, Inc., which was sold to RightCrowd Software PVT of Australia. These companies specialize in Security, focusing on Life Safety and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
Mark has been delivering solutions to clients since the early 1980s, by combining sensor technologies and wireless connectivity with other technologies for mobile data communications and tracking of assets and personnel. He has worked on several notable projects, including the major power utility project in the Midwest of the United States, tracking and routing of 10,000 vehicles in the state of Illinois, and the first major deployment of laptops in police cruisers for the state of Connecticut.
Currently, Mark is working on several global projects for contracted companies, focusing on Security, Safety and Sales development and business plan execution.
Mark has also been involved in the ASIS International community for over 15 years. He served on the board of directors for many years at the Long Island chapter of ASIS International, holding positions from Treasurer to Vice Chair and Chairman. He is currently on the ASIS International Foundation Board of Trustees, and previously, he was on the Awards Committee of ASIS International.
